St.Mary's Story

A Christian chapel has stood on this site since 866.


In 1985 Atherstone celebrated the 600th anniversary of its church.


Throughout the centuries generations of local people have come together here.


Changing times have shaped who and how the church was used.


But St Mary’s has always been at the heart of its community.


We would like to share our heritage with you.
