About Us

St Mary's Church is situated in the heart of Atherstone at the top of the main Market Square. Our Lay Reader John Stock.


Here at St Mary's we run a number of groups for all ages, along with regular community events which are held within the church.

The PCC

The Parochial Church Council

Members of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) are elected annually at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), usually held in the spring. The PCC comprises 16 members, including the Vicar, Lay Reader and two Churchwardens.


The PCC usually meets 6 times a year with more meetings if required and is supported by various focus teams made up of PCC members and other interested parties.
