Proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ
The Parish Church of St Mary, Atherstone
The Mens’ Breakfast meets every first Saturday in the month for an early cooked breakfast, fellowship and prayer.
We welcome visitors who wish to share with us and we have wide ranging and often quite deep discussions and reflection with occasional speakers on important issues.
We exist to support men in their work, their families and in the church - and of course to have a good breakfast.
There is a wonderful atmosphere and good humour followed, quite often, by a mornings work around the church.
Trips out are usually arranged at least once in the year and have included a long weekend in Scotland.
After a trip to York railway museum we had to wait ages for the train home.
A visit to Duxford was a great success although choosing the pilot for the journey
home proved difficult
when he couldn’t
start the engines
Jodrell Bank was brilliant except that tossing a coin for the last one to be
beamed up
meant that Mike
had to walk home
The long weekend in Scotland was really good
although the cameraman accidentally got his
eye stuck on the video
camera and had to be
shown everything
through the camera lens
