Can I be married at St Mary’s?
There are a few conditions that must be met, namely:
A man and a woman may marry as long as they are both over 18 years of age. Note * below
AND
Either or both of them live in the ecclesiastical parish of Atherstone or have a direct connection with the parish. Note * below
AND
Neither party has been married before. Note * below
AND
A minimum of three consecutive Sundays notice is given before the date of the wedding in order to read the banns. Note * below
* Note: There are certain conditions whereby the marriage can take place when these requirements are not met, but it is best to ask about particular situations.
